The story I’m proposing is “Crown of Ash”, one of the – many – Kardovian stories I’ve been contemplating. I dissuaded myself from sending the AI’land story at the same time, as it still needs some serious work before it’s remotely ready for prime time.
No word yet on the AI’land short story from Analog or the mystery short from Ellery Queen. But no news is good news, right?
